Bonduelle: agreement for acquisition in Canada

(CercleFinance.com) - Bonduelle has announced that it has signed an agreement with Conagra Brands to acquire Del Monte's processed fruit and vegetable business in Canada.


The transaction will be finalised after the lifting of conditions precedent, which should occur before the end of May.

This acquisition includes a right to use the Del Monte brand in various processed fruit and vegetable segments and related product inventories marketed by Conagra for a total of 43 million Canadian dollars.

Del Monte's business in Canada, which is operated by Conagra, has sales of approximately 60 million Canadian dollars, will complement Bonduelle Americas Long Life's canned and frozen vegetable business unit.
