(CercleFinance.com) - The broadcasting group M6 has reported consolidated revenue of 1.
27 billion euros for 2020, down 12.5% compared to 2019.

This fall reflects the drop in the group's advertising revenues (-11.5%) and non-advertising revenues (-15.8%).

Although consolidated underlying operating profit (EBITA) declined 4.8%, to 270.7 million euros, net profit actually increased by 60.9%, to 276 million euros constituting the "2nd highest ever".

As people have been watching more television in the current context (+18 minutes, or 3h58 per day), M6 group's four free-to-air channels strengthened their market position, totalling an average of 25.5 million viewers each day, i.e. +10 % y-o-y, the group said.

In addition, over FY 2020, M6's radio stations consolidated their position as the leading private radio group in France, with an audience share of 18.8% amongst listeners aged 13 and over.

In this context, M6's management board will propose a dividend of 1.50 euro per share to its combined general meeting, convened on 20 April 2021.
