Hermès: remains dynamic in Q3

(CercleFinance.com) - Sales growth at Hermès International, one of the French luxury giants, remained strong in Q3 2018, thanks to growth in Asia and the Leather Goods & Saddlery business.


The group has maintained its forecasts.

In fact, at constant exchange rates, invoicing grew by 10% in the third quarter (Q3, +9% at current exchange rates), to 1.5 billion euros, after growth (excluding FX factors) of 12% in Q2 and 11% in Q1. By major region, Asia rose by 10.7% in Q3, to 700.4 million euros, and Europe by 5.6% to 480.7 million euros. By business, Leather Goods & Saddlery reported 11.7% growth, as did the Clothing and Accessories division.

Over the first nine months of the year, sales increased by 6.6% to 4.3 billion euros as reported, or +10.7%, excluding the impact of FX factors.
