Maurel & Prom: share up after acquisition

(CercleFinance.com) - The Maurel & Prom share is up over 2% on the Paris Stock Exchange today, after the group announced an offer to acquire all Amerisur Resources' shares.


This merger should enable M&P to benefit from its expertise in exploration and thereby , through its low-cost capital (thanks to the support of its main shareholder Pertamina) support the development of its portfolio, broker Oddo said.

If successful in the drilling phase, it would reduce the group's exposure to the African continent (Onal deposit in Gabon and gas production in Tanzania), it adds.
