Nexans: Q1 organic growth of 1.2%.
(CercleFinance.com) - Nexans has reported Q1 sales of 1,570 million euros, against 1,433 million euros the previous year.
At constant metal prices, organic growth was +1.2% (+4.4% excluding the "Oil and Gas" impact).
CEO Arnaud Poupart-Lafarge said that in the context of continuing weakness in low-voltage markets, the expected growth in project activities is beginning to materialise, boosting the group's growth.
Claiming progress in strategic initiatives in line with the plan, the cable maker remains confident in its ability to further improve its operating margin in 2017, especially in the second half of the year.
