Rothschild & Co.: sharp rise in interim results

(CercleFinance.com) - Unveiled after trading on Tuesday, Rothschild & Co.
's H1 accounts included a 56% increase in the group's net income, excluding extraordinary items, to 164 million euros.

Including extraordinary items, growth reached +66% y-o-y at 161 million euros.

Regarding its outlook the group said that the excellent first-half results include some major commissions and revaluations in the Private Equity and Private Debt division, factors that are unlikely to be repeated in the second half of the year. In addition, the persistence of uncertainties regarding financial markets over the period, due to different macroeconomic events, could have an impact on the market sentiment and weigh on the group's businesses. However, if markets remain upbeat, annual results should improve reasonably compared to 2017.
