Air France-KLM: launches capital increase

(CercleFinance.com) - Air France-KLM has announced the launch of a capital increase, with the cancellation of preferential subscription rights, via a public offer, amounting to approximately 988 million euros, which will probably be increased to a maximum of 1,136 million euros in the event of a full exercise of the extension clause.


The net proceeds will be used to strengthen Air France's equity capital to reinforce its liquidity and finance its general needs. The transaction will result in the issue of 186 million new shares (214 million with the extension clause).

The company specifies that the subscription commitments of the French State and China Eastern Airlines represent approximately 777.9 million euros; in all they will cover approximately 78.7% of the total capital increase.
