Kone: to equip future line 16 of Paris metro

(CercleFinance.com) - Kone announced today that it has been selected by the Société du Grand Paris (SGP) to supply and install 152 escalators in the future line 16 of the Grand Paris Express metro.


The new line, which will be 29 kilometres long and with 10 stations, will link Saint-Denis Pleyel station to Noisy-Champs station in 26 minutes. Line 16 is expected to be used by over 200,000 passengers per day.

The company is pleased that its previous project on Line 15 of the Grand Paris Express metro has led to continued collaboration on the new Line 16.

Installation work will begin in early 2022, with the project set to be completed in 2024.
