Kone: unveils new lift facilities as lockdowns ease

(CercleFinance.com) - Finnish elevator maker Kone on Tuesday unveiled new products aimed at planning a safe return to offices and other buildings with many European countries easing lockdown restrictions.


The company said data, simulation tools, and expertise can help customers to reduce crowding and bottlenecks, and enable people to move more safely.

In addition, Kone launched a purifier to improve air quality in its elevators by destroying most potential pollutants, such as bacteria, viruses, dust and odours.

It also presented a handrail sanitizer using ultraviolet light to disinfect escalator handrails, along with an elevator call removing the need to touch elevator buttons and screens, thanks to an app.
