Nokia: warns of 'compliance issues' at Alcatel-Lucent

(CercleFinance.com) - In its annual report last night, Nokia said it has been alerted to certain matters concerning compliance issues at the former Alcatel Lucent business during the course of its integration process.


Without providing further details, the Finnish company said that it has begun an internal investigation and has reported its concerns to the regulatory authorities, with whom the group is currently cooperating.

However, the resolution of the matter could result in potential criminal or civil penalties, Nokia warned, including the possibility of monetary fines that could have a significant adverse effect on its business, it added.

The shares werey in a spin on Euronext Paris - down 7.3% at 5.1 euros - after this confession was made.
