Nokia: signs framework deals with Chinese operators

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia has signed three separate framework deals worth over 2 billion euros with three Chinese operators, the Finnish company said on Wednesday.


The telecoms gear maker has signed the frame agreements with China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom, it said.

Under the deals, Nokia will provide technologies and services to improve performance in fixed and mobile broadband networks as the three operators transition towards 5G.

Agreements cover delivery through to end-2019 of radio and fixed access equipment; IP routing and optical transport equipment; SDN and network functions virtualisation products; and services, Nokia said.

Nokia shares are currently up 1.4%, outperforming a 0.8% rise in the Helsinki index today.
