Nokia: tests 5G new radio technology with France's SFR
(CercleFinance.com) - Finnish network equipment maker has successfully completed a 5G call in France in collaboration with mobile phone operator SFR as the two companies are preparing for widespread 5G implementation.
The 5G call has used Nokia's 3GPP-compliant 5G New Radio (NR) system over-the-air on the 3.5GHz frequency band, AirScale radio platform and Cloud RAN technology, Nokia said.
