Nokia: to build virtualized network trial in China.

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia and China Unicom will conduct a trial of a virtualized services router (VSR) involving over 5,000 residential broadband subscribers, both companies said on Tuesday.


Upon completion of the project, the network will be able to add new customers and launch services faster and more efficiently.

The initial trial is being carried out in the province of Shandong and will be expanded to the other parts of the country over the next two years as it moves to the next phase, which will include the delivery of IPTV services.
