IAG: February traffic up on Latin America travel
(CercleFinance.com) - International Airlines Group posted a rise in passenger traffic for February thanks to continued growth in travel to Latin America.
Traffic - measured in revenue passenger kilometres - rose 6.3% versus February 2017, while passenger load factor — a measure of how the airline group filled its planes — was down 0.1 percentage point at 79.6%.
According to IAG statistics, traffic to Latin America and the Caribbean jumped by 14.8% last month.
IAG shares in London fell 2.5% after the report, while the Madrid-listed IAG shares dropped by 2.3%.
