Almirall: names Celgene's Koscielny as chief medical officer

(CercleFinance.com) - Spanish pharmaceutical company Almirall has named Volker Koscielny as its chief medical officer, as the drugmaker is launching innovative products and building up its pipeline.


In his last position at Celgene, Koscielny was responsible for designing and building the US biotech firm's inflammation franchise and supporting the development of the plaque psoriasis drug Apremilast, Almirall said.

The new chief medical officer has a particular interest in understanding patient needs, Almirall said.
