Siemens Gamesa: major expansion of Taiwan plant

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa announces that extensive expansion work is underway at its offshore wind turbine nacelle factory in Taichung, Taiwan.


The work began this month and demonstrates the company's long-term commitment to the wind industry.

The expansion will more than triple the size of the site - to 90,000 square metres - and more than triple the number of employees working there.

In addition to its continuous production flow, the remodeled site will have dedicated production lines for hub assembly, nacelle back-end assembly and final nacelle assembly, including generator-related work.
