Siemens Gamesa: receives wind order on slowing Indian market

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa has won a deal for the construction of a wind project in India, with the company describing a "major order" considering the current slowdown in the Indian market.


Siemens' renewable energy unit has received the new order from Orange Renewable for a 200-MW wind farm located in Poovani, in the state of Tamil Nadu, Southern India.

The project is scheduled to be commissioned by February 2019.
