BBVA: shares drop as they are kicked out of Euro STOXX 50

(CercleFinance.com) - Shares in BBVA fell more than 2% in early afternoon trading on Wednesday after being removed from the blue chip Euro STOXX 50 index.


Index manager STOXX said late on Tuesday that it would remove BBVA, Societe Generale, Telefonica, Fresenius, and Orange from the Euro STOXX 50 index, as from 21 September.

These five stocks will be replaced by Finnish lift maker Kone, French liquor maker Pernod Ricard, German property group Vonovia, Dutch fintech company Adyen and Dutch Internet group Prosus, STOXX said.
