Novo Nordisk: H1 earnings up 12%

(CercleFinance.com) - Group H1 2020 sales increased by 8% and 7% at constant exchange rates (CER) to 63.
9 billion Danish kronor (c. 8.6 billion euros). International sales increased by 11% (12% at CER) and North American sales rose by 4% (1% at CER).

Q2 2020 sales were flat compared to their level last year.

Novo Nordisk's operating profit increased by 9% to 30.14 billion Danish kronor and was up 8% at constant exchange rates (CER) in the first six months of 2020. Net profit reached 22.52 billion Danish kronor, up +12%.

Regarding its 2020 outlook, sales growth is still expected to be 3%-6% at CER, with operating profit now expected to rise by 2%-5% at CER, the group said.
