Carlsberg: completes acquisition of Waterloo Brewing

(CercleFinance.com) - Carlsberg today announced that it has completed the acquisition of all of Waterloo Brewing's issued and outstanding ordinary shares, at a price of about 100 million euros, as announced on 15 December.


The sale was approved by more than 99% of Waterloo Brewing's shareholders in a vote held on 23 February, and all legal steps have now been completed. Following approval from Waterloo Brewing's shareholders, the transaction was officially closed on Tuesday 7 March.

Carlsber sai that Waterloo Brewing significantly enhances its growth prospects in the Canadian market.
