Uniper: on track to reach FY targets

(CercleFinance.com) - German energy group Uniper assured the market on Thursday, saying that it is on track to meet its FY targets, despite H1 being deemed "difficult" from an operational viewpoint.


This morning the group reported H1 2019 Ebit of 308 million euros, albeit a far cry from the 601 million euros reported for H1 2018.

However, this fall was expected, given an unfavourable comparison basis due to the non-recurrence of a number of extraordinary items and rising carbon prices.

However, the electricity supplier was encouraged by the recovery in electricity prices in the European markets during the first half of the year, saying that it is confident in its performance over the period, and that it will meet its FY 2019 targets.
