K+S: third-quarter results in line, no change in guidance.

(CercleFinance.com) - German minerals company K+S reported third-quarter results that are in line with estimates on Wednesday, saying that higher fertilizer prices supported earnings.


K+S said that its third-quarter operating income (Ebit) reached 12 million euros, compared with a 31 million loss a year ago, while sales jumped by around 6% to 727 million euros.

The company - a supplier for agriculture and industry - also confirmed its outlook for 2017, forecasting EBIT in a range of 260 million euros to 360 million euros.

However, the market seemed to be disappointed by the lack of change in the group's guidance.

As a result, K+S shares are trading down 3.9% at 19.7 euros today.
