E.ON: takes stake in Finnish charging station company

(CercleFinance.com) - German utility giant E.
ON said that it has taken a stake in Virta, a Finnish provider of IT systems used to charge electric cars.

Over 200 customers with over 30 charging brands from 18 countries are currently operating their electric vehicle charging services on Virta platform.

The group's billing and control software optimises the energy flow behind the charging stations, avoids energy peaks, reduces costs, and enables extra profits for auxiliary grid services for vehicle owners.

E.ON said it wants facilitate customers' switch to electric mobility.
