E.ON: begins building new wind farm in Texas

(CercleFinance.com) - German energy group E.
ON said on Thursday that it had started building a new wind farm in Texas, citing the appeal of the US wind power market.

The project will have an installed capacity of 201 megawatts, powered by 67 turbines of the three-megawatt class from the German manufacturer Nordex.

Alongside the start to construction of the Texas wind farm, E.ON started commercial operation of two other US wind farms: another one with a capacity of 228 MW in Texas and one in Illinois with a capacity of 306 MW.
