E.ON: set to increase dividend for 2017 by over 40 percent.

ON confirmed on Wednesday that it intends to increase the dividend for the current 2017 financial year by over 40% to 30 cents per share.

The group is planning to propose at its annuel general meeting today a dividend of 21 cents per share for the financial year 2016.

"We have a clear roadmap for guiding the new E.ON into the future," said CEO Johannes Teyssen, speaking today at the event.

This is E.ON's first AGM after the spinoff of Uniper.
