Bayer: Astepro to be sold OTC in the US

(CercleFinance.com) - Bayer announced on Friday that the US Food and Drug Administration has given the green light for Astepro Allergy, a nasal spray for the treatment of respiratory allergies, to be sold without a prescription.


Thanks to this approval, Astepro becomes the first steroid-free antihistamine spray available without a prescription in the US for adults and children over six years of age.

The drug was previously only available by prescription in the US market.
