Bayer: to collaborate with Bristol-Myers on cancer drug

(CercleFinance.com) - Germany's Bayer has entered into a clinical collaboration agreement with US drugmaker Bristol-Myers Squibb and Japan's Ono to investigate a combination of their drugs in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer.


The three companies will evaluate the combination of Bayer's Stivarga and Bristol-Myers Squibb's/Ono's immunotherapy Opdivo in patients with micro-satellite stable metastatic colorectal cancer, the most common form of the disease.

They also plan to investigate this combination therapy as a new treatment option for other types of cancer.
