Bayer: endometriosis drug approved in China

(CercleFinance.com) - Germany's Bayer has won approval for its endometriosis pill Visanne in China, marking the group's fourth product approval in the country over the last 12 months.


The once-daily oral tablet has been approved by the Chinese regulatory authorities for the treatment of this chronic gynecological disease that causes menstrual cramps, bowel movements, and lower back pain.

For Bayer this is the fourth product approval in China within the last year, following approvals for Eylea, a medication that treats certain retinal diseases, in two indications and for hemophilia drug Kovaltry.
