Bayer: five-year research project with Greek center.

(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday German drugs and pesticides group Bayer signed a cooperation agreement with the Institute of molecular biology and biotechnology at the Foundation for research and technology Hellas in Greece for a five-year project.


In a statement, Bayer said the collaboration will focus on key aspects of insect gut physiology in order to discover novel targets for the development of insect control solutions.

Over 10,000 insects threaten global food and feed supplies, Bayer said.
