BASF: Hollandse Kust Zuid wind farm in test phase

(CercleFinance.com) - BASF announces that the wind farm that it is currently building in Hollandse Kust Zuid in the North Sea, which is owned by BASF, Vattenfall and Allianz, has started production for the first time.

While still in the test phase, the first turbines in operation are already producing electricity, which is transferred to land via an offshore transformer station and fed into the Dutch grid.

So far, 36 turbines have been installed. When fully operational in 2023, Hollandse Kust Zuid will have 140 turbines with an installed capacity of 1.5 GW.

BASF shares are currently up almost 0.7%, outperforming the sluggish German market by about 1%.
