BASF: signs partnership with MAN Energy Solutions

(CercleFinance.com) - BASF and MAN Energy Solutions have struck a partnership deal to start building an industrial-scale heat pump on the BASF Ludwigshafen site.


This project should contribute to reducing both greenhouse gas emissions and natural gas consumption on the site. A feasibility study has been started, which should be completed by the end of 2022.

The heat pump will allow steam to be produced with the use of electricity from renewable energy, tapping residual heat from BASF's cooling water system as a source of thermal energy.
