BASF: names new technology chief

(CercleFinance.com) - BASF has named Melanie Maas-Brunner, who headed its nutrition and health division since 2017, as its new chief technology officer.


Maas-Brunner will join the board of executive directors in February and will lead all aspects of BASF's three research units, i.e. advanced materials and systems research, bioscience research, process research and chemical engineering.

The executive, who has been working for BASF since 1997, will succeed Wayne Smith, who is leaving the board in 2021 after being with the company for 16 years.
