BASF: forms digital agriculture joint venture with Bosch

(CercleFinance.com) - German chemicals giant BASF said that it has signed an agreement to set up a joint venture to sell smart farming solutions with machine supplier Bosch.


The companies said that the 50-50 joint venture will create a new company based in Cologne, which will be launched in the first quarter of 2021.

As part of the deal, Bosch will contribute hardware and software, as well as digital services for planning and decision making in field crops, while BASF provides its automated, real-time, agronomic decision-making engine for weed management.

Its financial terms were not disclosed.
