BASF: deal with Solvay and Domo Chemicals

(CercleFinance.com) - Solvay and BASF announced on Wednesday that they have reached an agreement with Domo Chemicals for the latter's acquisition of some of Solvay's Polyamide assets.

These assets are those that will be transferred to a third party under the European Commission's approval procedure. This agreement is a key step towards finalising the sale of Solvay's remaining Polyamide business to BASF, the group said.

The assets acquired by Domo relate to Solvay Performance Polyamides' facilities in Belle-Étoile and Valence, a stake in a newly created joint venture between BASF and Domo in Chalampé, the sites of Gorzow (Poland), Blanes (Spain) and commercial activities in Germany and Italy.

Solvay added that BASF will acquire all the activities that are not included in the scope of the assets taken over by Domo that are part of the initial agreement between Solvay and BASF, which was signed at the end of 2017.
