BMW: rejects accusations on diesel vehicles.

(CercleFinance.com) - BMW on Sunday dismissed media reports that diesel vehicles sold by the company did not provide adequate exhaust gas treatment.


"As a matter of principle: BMW Group vehicles are not manipulated and comply with respective legal requirements," the German automaker said in a statement issued yesterday.

The Munich-based group insists that the outcome was confirmed by the results of official investigations at a national and international level.

BMW's position relates to accusations that its Euro 6 diesel vehicles do not provide adequate exhaust gas treatment due to AdBlue tanks that are too small.

Regarding discussions with other manufacturers, BMW said the talks only concerned the installation of tanking infrastructures in Europe.
