Lufthansa: passenger traffic up 14% in March.

(CercleFinance.com) - Lufthansa Group carried some 9.
6 million passengers in March, 14% more than the same period last year, the German group said on Tuesday.

The airline said that this good performance was achieved even though the popular Easter travel time started at the beginning of April.

Lufthansa Group - which includes Eurowings, Germanwings and Brussels Airlines, amongst others - said that its load factor improved by 0.8 percentage points compared to the previous year, reaching 77.2%.

The company also said that the pricing environment (excluding FX factors) improved slightly in March.

Over the first quarter, 25.2 million passengers travelled with Lufthansa Group, up 13% compared to the previous year.
