Volkswagen: to invest 34 billion euros in electric mobility.

(CercleFinance.com) - Volkswagen has announced that by 2022 it plans to invest over 34 billion euros in the development of electric mobility, autonomous driving, new mobility services and digitisation.


The car maker has said that these amounts will mainly be spent on the electrification and hybridisation of all its models, pointing out that last September it expressed its desire to electrify all models by 2030.

For the launch of the first mass production of electric vehicles on the MEB platform, the German group will therefore reconfigure its plant in Zwickau, Saxony, which is entirely dedicated to electric mobility.
