thyssenkrupp: to end CEO mandate 'shortly'
(CercleFinance.com) - German industrial group thyssenkrupp said late on Tuesday that it planned to start negotiations to end the mandate of its CEO Guido Kerkhoff "shortly.

After the ending of Kerkhoff's mandate, supervisory board chairwoman Martina Merz shall be named as executive chairwoman on an interim basis - for a duration of up to 12 months.
Alongside this, the conglomerate's supervisory board has recommended Siegfried Russwurm be elected as chairman of the supervisory board as interim successor of Martina Merz - also for a duration of up to 12 months.
In addition, Klaus Keysberg is expected to be appointed as another member of the executive board, effective as of 1 October, being responsible for the business areas materials services and steel for Europe.
