Ceconomy: CEO to leave company

(CercleFinance.com) - Ceconomy announced that after an extraordinary meeting at the end of last week, its supervisory board and chief executive officer (CEO) Pieter Haas have decided to part company by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.


Pieter Haas is therefore leaving as CEO of the German consumer electronics retailer, which is the largest shareholder of Fnac Darty in France, with 24% of its capital - following the launch of a new profit warning at the beginning of last week.

His duties will be shared between group CFO Mark Frese, who remains in office, until a successor is appointed - and Dieter Haag Molkenteller, a board member. A search process for new CEOs and CFOs has been started immediately.
