Siemens: 68 million euro share package for employees

(CercleFinance.com) - German conglomerate Siemens said on Monday that it has awarded over 700,000 free shares, worth nearly 68 million euros, to its employees this year.


This means that some 300,000 of the industrial company's 379,000 workforce in 65 countries are also shareholders, representing nearly 80% of the company's staff.

"No comparable company can point to such a high number of employee shareholders," Siemens said in a statement.
