Siemens: turbines of a record height in Asia.

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa today announced that it has installed the highest wind turbines in Asia, which reach 210 metres (153 metres for the tower and 56 metres for the blades), which together represent a total capacity of 67.
5 MW.

These 33 turbines have been installed on the Sarahnlom wind farm in the Nakhon Ratchasima province in central Thailand. The group will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the site for ten years.

For the record, Siemens Gamesa is the result of the merger, in early April this year, between Siemens' and the Spanish group Gamesa's wind turbine activities. Its capital is mainly owned by the German industrial conglomerate.
