Daimler: Mercedes-Benz sales up 1.5% in November
(CercleFinance.com) - Daimler said sales of its Mercedes-Benz cars increased by 1.
5% in November, mainly thanks to record numbers for its SUVs.
The luxury carmaker saw global sales rise to 198,545 cars in the past month, with a total of 82,007 vehicles sold in Europe, up 2.6%, setting a new record, Daimler said in a press release on Thursday.
Over the first eleven months of the year, Mercedes-Benz has sold 2.1 million vehicles, up 0.4% year-on-year, the Stuttgart-based group said.
Daimler said the brand's SUVs continued to sell in record numbers, with about 750,000 units of the models GLA, GLC, GLC Coupé, GLE, GLE Coupé, GLS and G-Class sold in the period of January to November, representing 2.4% growth.
