RWE: raises targets for 2019

(CercleFinance.com) - On unveiling its interim results, RWE has increaseed its annual targets, now aiming for adjusted net profit of between 500 million and 800 million euros (against a previous range of between 300 million and 600 million euros), with adjusted EBITDA of 1.
4 billion to 1.7 billion euros (against a previous range of between 1.2 billion and 1.5 billion euros).

The German energy group posted H1 2019 adjusted net income that is up 34% at 914 million euros, and adjusted EBITDA that is up 20% at 1.37 billion euros, "primarily driven by a strong trading performance."

"The strong operating result gives us tailwind for the coming months, which will be one of the most exciting periods in our company's history," said CEO Rolf Martin Schmitz, pointing to the deal with E.ON, which is set to be finalised in September.
