Merck KGaA: new formulation of Euthyrox gets approval

(CercleFinance.com) - Germany's Merck has received recommendation for approval in 21 European countries for the new formulation of Euthyrox, a synthetically produced hormone used to treat hypothyroidism, goiter and in the post-treatment of thyroid cancer.


The German Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices has recommended to approve the formulation, meaning that national approvals will now be issued following this recommendation.
