Linde: in talks to sell businesses in the Americas

(CercleFinance.com) - Linde and Praxair say that they are in advanced negotiations with a consortium comprised of Messer and funds advised by CVC to divest the majority of Linde's North American gas business, along with certain assets belonging to both groups in South America.


They consider that the sale of such businesses would be necessary to obtain the go-ahead from regulatory authorities for their merger, it being specified that the completion of these disposals would be subject to that of their proposed merger.
