Linde: Praxair shareholders approve the merger.

(CercleFinance.com) - Praxair shareholders yesterday approved of the group's merger with Linde, with 83% of all shareholders having approved the merger of both companies.
This represents about 99% of total votes at the extraordinary general meeting.

Linde's board of directors and supervisory board have already recommended shareholders give their approval of this project. Management actually believes that the offer is "appropriate" and "in the best interests of Linde shareholders".

Praxair shareholders have also approved of Linde's offer. In detail, Linde shareholders will receive 1.54 share of the new company, which will also take the name of Linde, while those of Praxair will receive one share. The acceptance period of the offer began on 15 August and will end at midnight on 24 October.
