Henkel: produces disinfectants, delivers hospitals

(CercleFinance.com) - Henkel will donate the first 25,000 litres of hand disinfectant it produced in just one week at a converted facility at its Düsseldorf plant to neighbouring hospitals, the German consumer goods company said on Thursday.


With this week's production alone, Henkel expects to be able to cover the needs of the major Düsseldorf health institutions over the coming weeks.

However, Henkel also plans to take into account the demand from the vicinities of 15 German sites, with delivery and distribution to be organised in coordination with local health authorities.

In all, Henkel said that it has already donated around 50,000 litres of disinfectant.
