Fresenius: acquires hospital in Bonn

(CercleFinance.com) - Fresenius Helios has announced the acquisition of a hospital in Bonn with 400 acute care beds and approximately 750 employees, capable of treating around 13,000 patients per year, which generates annual revenues of around 66 million euros.


Acquired from the humanitarian aid group Malteser International, the hospital provides a wide range of medical services with specialties in general surgery, pneumology and oncology, including palliative care.

The group is also acquiring two medical centres and a pharmacy with an associated logistics centre through this transaction. Its financial terms were not specified, although it is expected to have an acretive effect on the group's results as from 2021.
