Fraport: Frankfurt passenger volume reaches record in 2018

(CercleFinance.com) - Fraport said passenger numbers at Frankfurt airport rose by 7.
8% last year, thanks to the launch of more routes to new destinations and airlines increasing their flight frequencies.

The airport operator said on Monday that it welcomed over 69.5 million passengers in 2018, from about 64.5 million in 2017, thus posting a new record in the airport's history.

In December, more than 4.9 million passengers travelled via Frankfurt airport, the company said, up 7.8% from figures for December 2017.
