Deutsche Post: FY EPS up 13%

(CercleFinance.com) - The Deutsche Post DHL share is flat in Frankfurt, even after it published a 13.
1% increase in EPS to 2.41 euros for 2020, below the consensus, albeit with operating profit that is up 17.4% to over 4.8 billion euros.

At 66.8 billion euros, the German logistics and parcel group's revenue rose 5.5%, including organic growth of 8.5%, mainly reflecting the boom in e-commerce under the pandemic.

On this basis, management plans to propose a 17.4% increase in its dividend to 1.35 euro per share and has decided on a share buyback program of up to 1 billion euros. For 2021, it targets an operating profit of over 5.6 billion euros.
